Compact Hygiene radiators with side connection

Compact hygiene radiators with side connection

LEMAX Premium radiators of types 10, 20, 30 with side connection are hygiene radiators. This means that radiators only consist of heating panels. Their design is not complicated by additional convective panels and protective elements. Such constructions do not accumulate dust and are extremely easy to maintain and clean - each surface of the radiator has easy access to remove dirt and dust. Such a radiator is easy to clean from any of its sides, which meets the strict sanitary standards of medical or children's institutions. The radiators are produced with welded Hook/Standart fasteners. Radiators of types 10, 20, 30 of the standard complete set with top and side covers may be manufactured on request.

Side connection advantages

Radiators with side connection are the most commonly used, they are highly-demanded in the commercial construction and multistorey housing, as well as in the low-rise housing and private construction. They are well suited to one-pipe and two-pipe heating systems. The key feature of side connection is its maximum efficiency. In this case the radiator heats up evenly throughout the height and width. The cooled heat-transfer agent directs downwards clearing the top space of the radiator for the warm heat-transfer agent. Thus, a natural flow is created in the heating system, which increases its efficiency.

Technical data on hygiene radiators:

  • maximum working pressure is 1,0 MPa;
  • test pressure is 1,5 MPa;
  • maximum heat-transfer agent temperature is 120 °C;
  • height is 300, 400, 500, 600 mm;
  • length is from 400 to 3000 mm with 100 mm step.

Additional advantages:

  • easy installation and cleaning;
  • wide range of sizes;
  • attractive prices.

Design and principles of operation

The heat-transfer agent enters the heating panel through the upper hole and, thanks to natural pressure, is evenly distributed in the radiator. The efficiency of a radiator with a length of more than 100 mm can be increased by using a cross connection - a method in which the heat-transfer agent is removed through a hole in the lower corner opposite to the inlet.

Application

Hygiene radiators are mainly used in healthcare and childcare centers, public institutions, and catering establishments. The most powerful hygiene radiators can be installed in living quarters.

Component parts

Hygiene radiators of types 10, 20, 30 come standard with the following:

  • a radiator – 1 pce;
  • an L-shaped bracket – 2 pcs. for radiators with a length of up to 1700 mm, 3 pcs. for radiators with a length of over 1700 mm;
  • a bleed screw – 1 pce;
  • a blind plug – 1 pce;
  • mounting brackets – 4 pcs. (dowel-screw) for radiators with a length of up to 1700 mm, 6 pcs. (dowel-screw) for radiators with a length of over 1700 mm;
  • package (plastic corners and overlays, two layers of shrink film);
  • a technical passport.

Fastening

Hygiene radiators with side connection are fastened to the wall with four mounting brackets; if the length is more than 1700 mm six mounting brackets are used. Special dowels (wall plugs) are additionally used to fasten radiators to plasterboard walls.

Warranty

LEMAX Premium hygiene radiators comply with the requirements of GOST 31311-2005. Radiators are made of Russian steel on the equipment of Leas group (Italy) and undergo factory tests under pressure of 15 bar (1,5 MPa). LEMAX company gives a 10-year warranty for its radiators.

Mounting recommendations

The significant point of radiator mounting is calculating the distance to surrounding surfaces (floor, walls and a window sill). Either too short or too long distance will result in reducing the heat transfer.

Recommended distances:

  • the distance to the floor is at least 75% of the radiator depth;
  • the distance to the window sill is at least 75% of the radiator depth at a height of 300 mm and at least 90% at a height of 500 mm;
  • the distance to the wall depends on the anchor bolt placement.
  • When installing radiators pay attention to the following:

  • the heating system should be indirect and closed;
  • radiators should be installed only by a specialized installation company;
  • radiator's position should be aligned and levelled;
  • the air vent valve should be mounted only on the top hole;
  • the jumper (bypass) installed between the upper and lower pipes will switch off the radiator without draining the whole system that may be relevant to central heating systems;
  • do not remove the prefabricated package before the radiator is installed; it reduces damages and contamination during the installation.
  • Life hack: diagonal connection can be used for radiators which are more than 2 m long, where the heating main is connected to the upper side pipe, and the heat-transfer agent outlet is on the opposite side at the bottom of the radiator. Such a connection is more energy-efficient and allows you to evenly heat a larger radiator.

    As a rule, diagonal connection is not used with smaller-in-size radiators because the pipe-line extension is needed. Radiators with side connection are suitable for diagonal installation.
